About the space
Slunná 27 Therapy center is located in a quiet part of Prague 6 in Ořechovka, on the ground floor of a large villa. These premises were used as offices for a long time after the total reconstruction of the house in 1993. During the covid lockdown period they remained empty and the owners of the house started to think about reconstruction and opening for therapeutic purposes.
„It came to us that the house could offer space to what is so much needed at the moment – healing.“ The idea to conceive the centre as a place where we heal the soul and the body came from Hana Hniličková, who has been practicing body-psychotherapy, a psychotherapy based on working with the body, since 2018. „When I work with clients, their emotions and mental settings, I don’t leave the body out of the process. On the contrary, I help clients to be able to feel better in their bodies.“
Slunna 27 Therapy center, 27 offers a space for therapists who share similar values and want to work with people and for their good sake.
The reconstruction was designed by studio Pavel Hnilička Architects + Planners.
„We enjoyed designing an intimate space where people can feel safe. We worked with natural materials – wood, stones, stucco – to enhance the grounding energy of the space.“
